Capt. Tønnessen has spent 25 years at sea, 13 of them as captain, before he went ashore in 2005, started working as a Marine Inspector / Vetting Manager for Solvang ASA.
In 2014 he started working as a Principal Consultant, Vetting Tankers and Offshore for Statoil.
